Cat tunnels are a simple way to enrich your cats environment, and add opportunities for play. This one looked good, so I checked it out.

Review summary:

The good?

No assembly.

Take it out and put it down. It’s a lot longer than what it appears online with pictures.

The side holes add opportunities for play.

The bad?

Broken toy.

It comes with a small dangly mouse toy at the end – but that broke with vigorous play.

Don’t rely on that part of the toy to last long.

The ugly?

Could it do more?

A cat tunnel is a cat tunnel I guess. It wasn’t the most exciting toy I put down for my kittens.

However, when I pulled out a wand toy – it really started to become a great option. That means you’ll have to be part of the action to make best use of this.

In short:

Good simple toy.

It’s a cat tunnel – what’s more to it? The length is great and better than what I expected.

Where this toy really shone was pairing it with a wand toy. My kittens loved to sneak into the tunnel to hunt it – but on its on, it’s not as exciting as a ball toy.

Plus the small dangly mouse breaks off a little too easily.

Best for:

  • Pairing with a wand toy
  • Multiple cats or kittens
  • No assembly

About All For Paws

A Chinese brand.

Established in 2010, and make a variety of cat toy products. Includes mats, ball toys, and pet beds.

Not much else known about the brand otherwise – seems like a generic importer of a range of low cost pet products.

Quick notes:

  • Chinese brand
  • Established 2010
  • Generic imported brand

Assembly

None required.

Take it out and it pops out to it’s full size. Easy as that.

Not much else to say here really.

In short:

  • No assembly
  • Set and forget
  • Pops out to full size

Ease of Assembly: 10/10

Fun

Ok.

It wasn’t a huge hit, aside from the added toy on the end. That broke after a few plays though, so it was just the tunnel.

Things got better when I added a wand toy – that turned it into an excitement machine. But you’ll have to get involved.

Quick notes:

  • A little basic
  • Better with a wand toy
  • Hidey holes add value

Enjoyment: 7/10

Safety & Durability

Average.

Whilst the tunnel itself seems sturdy enough, the attachment isn’t.

After breaking with a few plays you’ll have to hope the tunnel provides enough entertainment.

Quick notes:

  • Made with polyester
  • Easy to break attached toy
  • Tunnel itself is sturdy

Safety & Durability: 5/10

Ease of Cleaning

Ok.

You can wipe this one down with a microfiber towel to get fur or dirt off it.

Washing it with detergent could be a problem though, but you don’t have to pull anything apart to clean.

Quick notes:

  • Nothing to pull apart
  • Use a microfiber towel
  • Could be hard to wash with detergent

Ease of Cleaning: 7.5/10

Pricing

Worth it?

This one is fairly cheap, compared to many toys out there.

I’m sure there’s cheaper tunnels out there, but this one is decently long at 150cm. The two holes add value for play with wand toys.

If the added toy didn’t break so easy, it’d be even better. Overall decent.

Quick notes:

  • Affordable
  • Great size
  • Great with wand toy

Value for Money: 9.5/10

Conclusion

The All For Paws cat tunnel is a good option if you’re prepared to play with your cat, using a wand toy.

The simple design and great size are benefits. A big cat might not fit though.

Cons are the breakable toy attachment, and lack of excitement on its own.

Best for:

  • Pairing with a wand toy
  • Multiple cats or kittens
  • No assembly
